Powdr Corp CEO John Cumming is having a very busy winter. First he and a group of investors including John Conney, an old friend of mine who I use to talk nerd with from my EUE days, purchased Resort Sports Network in Maine. RSN is a television network that creates and distributes content for more than 100 resorts.
Then while doing research for a new Ozone project in the Hamptons I came across an article in the East Hampton Star Real Estate Section. RSN,
now being re-branded as “Resort Television” over Resort Sports Network, signed a deal with WVVH a small Hampton television station. And last month a new show called “Destination Real Estate” started running. This series showcases luxury houses across the nation that is aimed at wealthy audiences.
And then this afternoon while eating a sack lunch, I read that Powdr Corp in partnership with a Dallas-based real estate investor purchased Killington and Pico from American Skiing Company for 83.5 Million dollars.
I love it when a plan comes together.
Now if only someone would give the powers that be in Riverhead John’s phone number. He could buy 17 fully operational Resorts for the price of building one by Tom Stewart.
